Speaker of the national assembly condemns auto-proclamation of results

The president of the Far North campaign commission of the CPDM party, and speaker of the National Assembly, for the just ended presidential election, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril has on his part expressed dissatisfaction at the proclamation of Prof Maurice Kamto. In a press statement, the National Assembly president said the former has violated the law by making a public statement, pronouncing himself as winner of last Sunday’s polls.

He however congratulated all who showed up on October 7 and who voted in peace and tranquility and urged Cameroonians to shun the declaration and continue their daily activities normally.
