UPC party condemns self-proclaimed victory

The “Union des Populations du Cameroun” (UPC) party has rebuked Presidential hopeful Maurice Kamto for declaring himself as winner of the October 7 Presidential polls, an attitude they say violates the country’s electoral code. This was in a press briefing granted by the Secretary General of the party, Honorable Bapooh Lipot Robert in Yaoundé. He equally seized the opportunity to call on Cameroonians to be matured enough and disregard the auto-victory pronouncement by the Cameroon Renaissance Movement, CRM candidate, for the simple reason that the Constitutional council is the only legal body to declare the results of the elections.
