CPDM scribe calls for calm

The Secretary General of the CPDM party has called for Cameroonians to remain calm and together patiently wait for the Constitutional Council to declare the results of the October 7 Presidential elections. Jean Nkuete in a post electoral declaration saluted the people of Cameroon who all voted in an atmosphere of general calmness, serenity and above all in transparency as attested by the national and international observers who were present.

He condemned auto-proclamation of results by some candidates whom he said are simply showing proof of political frailty. The move he said is in bid to create a tense atmosphere, insecurity and an uprising among Cameroonians and cause them to support and defend an imaginary victory. He referred to such candidates as being disrespectful to rules of democratic nation.

Jean Nkuete reminded all peace-loving Cameroonians to remain calm and respect the laws binding the nation of Cameroon.
