Cameroon is set to host the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) from March 26 to 29, 2026, in Yaoundé, with authorities affirming full preparedness for the global event.

In a declaration to the press on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the Minister of Communication, René Emmanuel Sadi, reassured national and international media of the country’s readiness. His declaration followed a series of inspection visits to key sites responsible for communication, accommodation, and visual branding for the conference.
At the Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV), designated as the International Broadcasting Centre for the event, the General Manager, Charles Ndongo, conducted a guided tour of the facilities. He highlighted the centre’s operational readiness, including systems for media accreditation, editing booths, and comprehensive coverage of the proceedings.
Inspection visits also took the Minister to major hospitality sites, including the Mont Fébé Hotel and the Hilton Yaoundé, which will accommodate international delegates. Management at both establishments have installed promotional materials such as roll-ups at strategic locations and assured authorities of additional enhancements to meet expected standards.
At the Yaoundé Conference Centre, the main venue of the conference, extensive visual branding has been deployed. Banners, roll-ups, and giant digital screens displaying animated content have been installed to ensure continuous communication and visibility throughout the event.
According to the technical lead, Bissoue Essoe, the branding of the conference hall and its surroundings was executed in close collaboration with experts from the World Trade Organization, ensuring compliance with international standards.
As part of the official program, a high-level press dinner was hosted later in the evening in honour of national and international media professionals covering the conference. The event brought together government officials, communication experts, and journalists in a relaxed setting aimed at fostering professional exchanges and strengthening collaboration. The evening is featured welcome remarks from the Minister of Communication, networking sessions, and curated cultural showcases highlighting Cameroon’s rich heritage. Beyond its social dimension, the press dinner served as a strategic platform to provide key insights into the conference agenda, facilitate direct engagement between stakeholders and the media, and reinforce Cameroon’s image as a hospitable and well-organized host nation.
With these preparations in place, Cameroon is poised to deliver a successful and impactful Ministerial Conference, reinforcing its image on the global stage.
