The Senior Divisional Officer, SDO for Kupe Muanenguba, Mungambo Ekema William has launched a national integration tournament in Bangem, ahead of the celebration of the 51st edition of the National Day celebration on the 20th of May 2023.
Meanwhile Unity Walk ahead of the National Day celebration shall take place on the 19th of May 2023 at 6:30 am from the SDO’s esplanade to Paul Biya’s Stadium Bangem.
In a communique signed on the 12th of May 2023 by the SDO, four teams are involved in the competition and they include; the administration, the forces of law and order, drivers/bike riders and education.
According to the fixtures, the tournament kicks off on Saturday the 13th of May 2023 with Forces of Law and Order, FLO against Education at 3:30 pm at Paul Biya’s Stadium Bangem.
The second game of the day shall be between Administration and Drivers/Bike Riders at 5:00pm.
The second day of play has been scheduled for Tuesday the 16th of May 2023 with the administration and forces of law and order programmed for the first match, while Driver/Riders take on Education for the second match.
Day three play day shall be on the 18th of May 2023 with Drivers/Riders against Forces of Law and Order for the first match, while Education clashes with administration for the second match.
The finals of the first and second league shall take place on the 20th of May 2023 at Paul Biya’s Stadium Bangem.
The SDO intimated that women are free to participate in the tournament as the 12th player.
In this light, the Divisional Delegate of Communication, Kupe Muanenguba, Dr. Olive Ejang shall be wearing jersey number 9 for team Administration.
She has promised to score two goals in today’s encounter, intimating that the administration shall win the cup of the tournament.
Meanwhile, a Unity Walk ahead of National Day celebration has been programmed for Friday the 19th of May 2023 at 6:30 am from the SDO’s esplanade to Paul Biya’s Stadium. .
