The 7th session of the National Commission for Institutional Support to the Private Press is currently underway at the Ministry of Communication’s conference room.

The meeting is being presided over by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication, representing Minister Sadi. In his opening remarks, Secretary General, Pr Felix Zogo highlighted the economic challenges facing the press, a key concern for the state. Despite these difficulties, the Ministry remains committed to advocating for increased support to the media sector. He urged media professionals to uphold the principles of their profession, emphasizing that this would enhance Cameroon’s image both domestically and internationally. This year’s session will review 54 files, comprising 49 newspapers and 5 online news sites.
