Race of Hope 2022: New winner emerges

Elvis Nsabinlah and Tatah Carine have written their names in the golden book of the race of hope, by emerging as winner in the senior male and female categories respectively in the 27th edition of the Mount Çameroon Race of Hope. Elvis Nsabinlah, who won the race for the first time completed the 39KM race in 4hrs 32 mins while three times winner, Tatah Carine clinched her 4th title by completing the race in 5hrs 28 minutes.

The kick off was given by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Prof Narcisse Moulle at exactly 7:00am at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium on Saturday 19th February, 2022, where over 400 athletes set out to conquer the chariot of the gods in the junior, senior men, senior women, relay and veteran  categories.

Godlove Gabsibium and Adamou Bouba as well as Kitan Mildred and Tumi Macrina emerged 2nd and 3rd in the senior male and female categories respectively.

Winners of Mount Cameroon Race of Hope took home the sum of 8.9 million francs each out of their 10 million prize money, following a deduction of taxes.A similar percentage is equally deducted from the prizes of winners in every other category, as well as those of all runners-up.

There were eight foreign delegations at this year’s race with Kenya standing out as the best.
