On a 3 day official working visit to Cameroon, the West African Régional Director of Sightsavers, Dr. Boubacar Morou Dicko paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Communication, one of her partners. On behalf of the Minister of Communication, the SG of the Ministry of Communication, Prof Felix Zogo received the subregional regional official with whom they reviewed areas of collaboration.
The in-camera meeting that lasted close to two hours was an opportunity for both institutions to fine tune partnership areas. Cameroon and Sightsavers have made great strides especially in the area of education. Given that this is an electoral year in Cameroon, they both reviewed how to make the upcoming presidential elections inclusive.It was a satisfied Boubacar Morou Dicko that left the premises of the Ministry of Communication.
It should be noted that Sightsavers is an international NGO that works to prevent avoidable blindness, promote equality and support people living with disabilities in developing countries.
