On Friday, 18 September 2026, H.E. Félix MBAYU, Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of the Commonwealth, received in audience, at her request, Ms. Brenda SOYA, Chargée d’Affaires a.i. of the United States Embassy in Yaoundé. She was accompanied by Ms. Christen MACHAK, Head of the Political and Economic Section.
The Minister Delegate was assisted by the Secretary General of the Ministry and officials in charge of monitoring cooperation with the United States.
Discussions focused on:
- The review of Cameroon–United States bilateral cooperation;
- Satisfaction with the improving momentum of this cooperation;
- Commendation of the First Session of the Cameroon–U.S. Economic and Commercial Dialogue, held in Yaoundé from 26 to 28 August 2026.
At the end of the audience, both officials committed to working further to strengthen and revitalize this partnership.
