Joint press conference MINCOM – MINEE on the formalisation of Actis exit from ENEO’s capital and renationalisation of this company

The Minister of Communication, Rene Emmanuel Sadi and his counterpart of Water Resources and Energy, Gaston Eloundou Essomba have clarified the public on the agreement that led to the government’s reacquisition of 51% stake previously held by ACTIS in ENEO’s capital for 78 billion CFA francs, a payment to be made within a 60-day deadline. This move makes the State of Cameroon the main shareholder of that public entity and now controls 95% of the capital. This was during a press conference that was held November 21, 2025.

MINCOM receives in audience a delegation of journalists from the Cameroon Journalists Trade Union and the International Federation of Journalists.

Minister of Communication, Rene Emmanuel Sadi received a 7-man delegation of journalists on Thursday 21st November,2025. The delegation was headed by Marion Obam, President of the Cameroon Journalists Trade Union, accompanied by Dominique Pradale, President of the International Union of Journalists on an official visit to Cameroon among others. In the close to one hour audience with yhr Government Spokesperson, discussions centered on the challenges of the communication sector, security of journalists, press freedom as well as cooperation between national and international institutions that seeks to promote responsible journalism.
